Jana Dimitrova (Skopje) is a recent undergraduate from Utrecht University in the Netherlands where she studied International Relations and Religious Studies. She wrote her thesis dissertation on the topic of how trained attention through body-mind cultivation practices may alter one’s experience in reality and enable one to realize of one’s embeddedness in the environment and find one’s home within it, through the lenses of Japanese Zen-Buddhism and Shintoism. Philosophical ideas and conceptual frameworks that shed light on the inter-relatedness and ever-changing nature of all things, and which may be translated into concrete practices in socio-cultural as well as personal contexts is where her leading interest lies.
